A - A standard wait time for someone broke down in the vehicle is about 20-30 minutes.


2.    Q - What is the best type of roadside assistance?
       
A - Check with your auto insurance company. Most reputable insurance carriers have a good roadside program. You will get much quicker service if you are paying out of pocket and getting reimbursed from your insurance company VS calling a 800 # for service.



3.    Q - What services do Towing companies offer?
     
  A - All towing companies offer light duty Towing, tire changes, battery jump starts, and car door unlocking services. Some offer Medium Duty Towing and Heavy Duty Towing.


4.    Q - Do AWD or 4WD vehicles need to be towed on a flatbed?

        A - NO, this is a common misconception. All vehicle MS can be towed with a Flatbed or a wrecker with Dollie equipment. In some cases it is better to use a wrecker and dollies instead of a flatbed. Any reputable towing company can do this correctly. Make sure to call an experienced towing company.



5.    Q - Why do law enforcement tows typically cost more than standard towing needs?
       
A - Tow trucks that work for law enforcement have to agree to be able to respond within 15-20 minutes 24 hours a day 365 days a week, they have to carry more equipment, there are extra time and supplies use to clean the truck after hauling accident vehicles, and it is much more dangerous to work in the roadway with traffic going by.
